Years of skate?

I started in 2003.

What was the first thing you saw that made you want to be a skater?

My friends that had so much fun when they were skating, and because of that I wanted to try.

What were the best trips you went on, thanks to skateboarding?

Skateboarding takes you everywhere, Brazil was a great trip, and New York has been fun too. The first time I flew on an airplane, it was 2 years ago, I felt really lucky to travel that much.

How is it to hang out with the rest of the team?

It’s chill! Whether we are in the van playing wordgames or at the apartment cooking dinner, or out skating. They are really a bunch of nice guys.

What story could you tell about some Vans trips with them?

My best memory from the latest trip in Paris, was when me, Kris, Madars and Camilo went to the huge old graveyard to visit Jim Morrison's grave and chilled there with a beer and some music next to it.

What is your daily life like?

Now I’ve just graduated school two months ago, I´ve just been travelling around and each day comes out differently. It usually involves a lot of skating, walking around for miles, getting lost, listening to music, cooking dinner or eating out, touring and exploring the cities with my friends.

A perfect day, what would it be?

To be around with friends and family in a good place, where the sun is shining.

What’s the best compliment you’ve ever had for being a skater girl?

After i landed a couple of tricks once my friend said: - You're such a freak of nature, what girl does that?! - That was pretty funny. But the best one I heard was told to Louisa: - Can you ollie down the Macba in high heels? It would make a good picture. -

You can do a lot of tricks, how much time it takes you when you learn a new trick?

It's so different, for some tricks it takes a year to figure out and some tricks only takes a one hour session. It all depends on the trick and the state of mind I'm in.

Which feeling/trick is the best in Skateboarding?

Bombing hills in full speed not knowing if you're going to make it or not.

What do you do when you’re not skateboarding?

I like taking photos, film and digital and edit them when I’m at home. Listen to music, see my friends, read a book, watch a movie, walk around the woods and the neighbourhoods.

What do you like the most in the Vans shoes?

I like the feeling of the wafflesole and I like the simple models, like authenthics, halfcabs, chukka lows.

What would be your life like without skateboarding?

Skateboarding has given me so much: life experience, friends, travelling, keeping youth and the kid that wants to play inside me and looking at life from different point of views. I would miss it a lot, but of course there are many other ways to go on with life.

What does really matter in life?

The material things are not important, it's the experiences you get and the people you meet. To take care of your closest friends and family. To have a good laugh everyday. To be able to trust in yourself and feel comfortable, I think it's all inside yourself, so there’s no need to stress about random things.
